How MetaVidSaver Works

A simple, transparent look under the hood

MetaVidSaver turns a shared video link into a downloadable HD MP4 in seconds. You do not need any technical knowledge — if you can copy and paste a link, you can use it. Here is exactly what happens at each step.

Step 1 — Copy your video link

Open the video you want to save inside Meta AI, Instagram, or Facebook. Tap the Share icon, then choose Copy Link. This copies a public share URL that points to your video. For Meta AI videos, you can copy the link directly from the chat where the clip was generated.

Step 2 — Paste it into the downloader

Return to MetaVidSaver and paste the link into the input box on the home page (or the watermark remover). You can use the "Paste" button to insert it from your clipboard automatically. Then press the download button.

Step 3 — We fetch the source file

Our server reads the public link you provided and locates the underlying media stream on the platform's content delivery network. For higher-resolution videos where the platform stores video and audio separately, our backend downloads the best video track and the best audio track and merges them into a single MP4 using FFmpeg — so you never lose sound.

Step 4 — Preview, choose quality, and save

You will see a live preview of the video along with the available quality options, such as 720p or 1080p. Pick the one you want, and the clean MP4 downloads straight to your device. That is it — no watermark, no signup, no cost.

What we do not do
